I’d work with the other parents to provide both kids the opportunity to be with both families. Because they really would be—there wouldn’t be a healthy way to separate from the families who’d long loved them.
This would be extremely difficult. My kids are teens so I guess I would just want to spend time as two families navigating an extremely shitty situation.
Sue the everloving fuck out of the hospital. My kid would still be my kid but I'd also want to work with the other family to ensure that both kids can get to know each family.
