It taste different bc of the different "components" it has, if u live near a water treatment plant u will most likely drink water that has been "cleaned artificially" and if u live near a glacier u will drink clean water that is clean "naturally"

Tap water in cities tastes like the things they put in it to keep it clean and/or things it comes in contact with in it's commute to your tap. In Englewood, Colorado, water tastes strongly of chlorine and mold.

Lived in the country for many years after spending many more years in the city. We had a well on our property from which we drew all of our water. This water was amazing. It tasted clean, was crystal clear and cold, and it just tasted “right” if that makes sense.
