This painting is part of my persistent exploration of the synergy between major elements of the Cuban landscape. In this search, a little-known place from the south side of Havana catch my attention when I was 19 years old. I have never forgotten that morning. The weather, flowers’ smells, birds, a river plenty of life, and my first love fixed the painting place in my mind for more than 45 years. Memories were the driving force to start this painting, but I finished this oil on canvas representing my feelings in every element of the composition. In this particular painting, I preferred a vertical format to express the intimacy of the painted moment, when only two persons were looking to this landscape, while we enjoyed the wildest love, as we were out of the Universe.
