I created the concept in Illustrator, then I basically just followed it like a blueprint when I was ready to actually paint it. I put a ton of hours into this thing, taking time to measure everything out and mix every color really intentionally. I started by getting all of my shapes/values/mountains in place, then I went back over everything and brightened all of the colors one disco moon beam at a time. I used tons of tape. It was very tedious, but totally worth it!

I love that you share details on how you do this work. So much goes into it and you are incredible. I saw this when it was posted to your site and instantly came to reddit to upvote, but you hadn't shared it yet.

I know how detailed your acrylic work typically is, but it still took me a bit to really be sure it wasn't a digital design.
