They're fairly unique, the fact that a lot of them are based on stylised kanji or kana makes them look a bit like corporate logos too.I like them..

I feel like a lot of these redesigns were not big improvements.For instance, the Sun of May has some historical significance for Argentina, so I do not think replacing that with a star is a good idea.

The symbols are nice, but they do not really work as flags.The‘re too indistinct.
