Latest soda can samurai I made today for a future piece. Hoping to make a few hundred and combine them! This is strictly made out of soda cans without the use of any fixtures or adhesives. I tie everything together and use weaving / tension to keep them in one piece. The sculptures flexible, and very resilient.

This guy took 18 hours, and is one of 65.

In 18 hours I couldn’t even come close to painting this on a paper, sculpting this out soda cans… I mean I can’t even…

I really love that! The choice of colour / combination of it! The posture!

Really love the ones on the shoulder and head piece! In my country (Germany), I would never find those beautiful soda cans. Love that you can not see any brand name etc.!

Could you also post the army of 65 then? Is it for an exhibition? Amazing work!

Also: how big is the samurai?

Samurai is 8" tall. Right now I have 47 in a display case and the rest are in a tote. Not for an exhibition, unfortunately, I have no avenues for art in my small community.

How many times did you cut yourself? Cans can be really sharp when you cut them and it's all I'm thinking about.
