This is very cute and heartfelt, living with a cat myself, these things have happened to me. Looking into a cats eyes or just simply sharing the same space with one is amazing. You did a good job with this art piece, well done. Great Shadow and lightning

How can you do all this in under a day? My art skills can't draw this much detail, lighting, shading and just talent in a week. This is really beautiful! Well done!

I think this is AI art because the arm goes in front of the cat then comes out behind it.

Edit : other perspective mistake : the fence on the right goes behind the back fence at the its top, and in front of it lower.

Stylistically this is gorgeous, and I hope I get to see more animated movies in your style.

One question I have is why is the fence/house crooked in the background? Is that an intentional choice? If so, why?

Also, I love the blurred trees background. Again, very stylish.

Amazing, did you work from a photo?

There is a serious perspective gaffe and a minor one, too. The subject's left arm is at an impossible perspective compared to the cat's belly. Also the cat's right arm is disjointed where it's obscured by the subjects left arm.

definitely AI, since an artist with skill to draw the subject matter would never settle for such an atrocious background and poor overall composition.

These AI bros can always make the AI take other artists skill and make a single subject look good, but they lack the eye for composition that comes with the craft.

I don't think this is AI art. Perhaps the background, but if you zoom in on particular parts of the image and are a digital artist yourself you can very clearly see the "brush" strokes. The hand especially gives it away, cos I would be really impressed if AI could replicate the look of amateur smudge-and-airbrush-tool use. The crosshatching in the sweater is also too sloppy to be a robot. AI art is typically super smooth and blended, and any lines are really crisp until encountering a spliced area, where the line again just becomes super blended out. Handmade art can achieve the same look, but AI can't achieve the same look as handmade.

I don't think it's ai, simply going by op's history. An imbalance of skill maybe, but not ai. It's sad that we have to even speculate :(

How many legs does this cat have?

With the arrival of stable diffusion 2.0, everything is becoming very realistic. We have to pay attention tot the detailes to notice things like asimetries, wrong perspectives, overlapping objects and other artefacts.

Funny thing it looks so photorealistic despite being not trying to be.

One of the accounts posted here is suspended, which makes everything quite suspicious. They could still be using AI to paint over the sketch to compensate for their skill level, you never know.

Regardless even if it's not AI the criticism still stays true, since the background is still quite bad, as if it was traced over a photo blindly without regard for the overall composition, like an AI in a sense.

So now all artists are born with skill and none are learning and make mistakes?

Idk one way or the other, but obviously it's possible for someone that's still learning to draw to make mistakes, and not dissimilar to this.

This is the art filter on picsart. It’s sad that people are faking art now. At first I thought it was AI because of how messed up the cat was, but I realized it’s a filter.

Riversntallbuildings t1_j2muk4u wrote

Well again, it’s gorgeous. The lighting alone commands attention.

A case could be made that the background is crooked to produce an emotional effect or to direct the viewers eye.

If it was an unintentional study, it’s all good.

Keep it up and follow your passion!

This must be AI. Super typical mistakes AND the odd combination of super advanced and well done techniques with primary school mistakes. Have a downvote.

It is devastating we're at a point where artistic touches classified as "imperfections" or refined details by the viewers are the deciding factors as to whether a piece is ai or not. This is definitely not ai, the artist uploads process videos on his Tik Tok, maybe next time just the constructive criticism?

The human is looking at the cat with affection. The cat is looking at the human to calculate the exact moment it wants to slap her across the face.

An AI isn’t perfect, but looking for errors in art is not a good way of proving that something is AI solely because Humans make far, far more mistakes. I’m not disagreeing with you that it could be, I’m just saying that either is possible with this specific piece and either side could be debated.
