Yes! I love charcoal! In fact it's my preferred traditional drawing medium! I have created many portraits and figure drawings with it. :)

It's difficult to say. Both have their advantages and intricacies. I have to say, there is an undeniable tactile sensitivity to traditional. But there are different and great possibilities with digital. I have to say I'm more inclined to traditional but digital can be very, very handy. Especially for professional work! :)
