Thank you! This is part of a series called "(de)composed," which explores the life and beauty in things which we perceive as ruined or bad.

The use of resin over the clay adds a level of realism to the piece that would not exist without the use of said resin.

I love this because I'm terrified of these flying mfs so it made me super anxious but if an artwork gives me strong feelings that means, to me, that it's well done.

edit: there are some exceptions but i mean it in a positive way - i like this work. It's intense.

I really appreciate that! This piece is from a series looking at things we think of as gross or frightening.

Thank you! I've done some sculptural illustration, and certainly a cover would be an interesting and exciting challenge.

Thank you for sharing that, it took me right back to the days when my grandfather would make cider, thank you

What a wonderful response, it's so gratifying as an artist to be able to evoke a memory. My own strongest yellow jacket memories are from eating cider donuts after apple picking.

Thank you for sharing that as well! These things just don’t happen anymore, it’s so sad, but I got. Smile out of it. If you ever do one with a yellow/green apple and juice let me know. And don’t forget the bees! Thanks again. All my family is gone and I just have the memories. Stumbling upon this brought another back.
