It's been a while since I've stumbled over quilling artwork, let alone something quite as elaborate. Great work capturing the different textures and elements!

thank you, its the combination of all the techniques I've learnt so far. Plus the Great wave itself is a masterpiece on its own so one can't get wrong with it.

This is fantastic. You understand this piece so well...!

funny enough, not really though I did see some small details that can be easily missed out in the painting. See the blue dots on the boats? Very small details that can be easily missed.

I have studied this piece so many times trying to develop a feeling for the sea foam. Not a chance. When I try to draw it, it turns out somewhat stiff looking, I always lose movement. Hokkusai was incredible and I really like what you did with his wave.

I think the medium and technique I used compliments each other with this one. this is the second version and on my first one I tried to copy the direction of the see foam this time I just want to mess around and it turned out even better. Maybe try to me more natural than following the direction?
here's my first wave

Thank you so much! This is really interesting. You'd second wave seems more organic and dynamic to me..... Really really cool, I appreciate that you took the time.
