Actually, both terms are used. Usually, kids use pencil crayons and artists use coloured pencils.

that is really cool to know! and it does make sense, seeing that a crayon is a stick of wax and pigment and colour pencils are basically just that inside a wooden body

Zoom in. Pretty much all realistic drawings benefit greatly from being shrunken in size on a screen. If you looked at the actual drawing you wouldn't think it's a photograph. Because it's not. And this is a photograph, of the drawing, with it's size manipulated.

Why is everyone downvoting you for saying zooming in shows the inevitable imperfections better, and that on the original it would be easier to see.

A lot of people like this image, it looks great, but reminding some of them that what they are looking at is a digital reproduction posted to this platform gives them the impression that the reminder is somehow diminishing that which they like— prompting an attack-response from them; thus, downvotes.
