Love this!, Sorry for my ignorance I’m new to this but this style have a name?
Shiiroun t1_itqh5mq wrote
Not OP but if I had to say, I think this would probably fall into impressionism. Lots of watercolours in this artistic branch, and, as the name suggests the idea is to create an "impression" hence the dreamy feeling. Look up Monet if you're interested. Also don't apologize for asking questions 😊

Amazing work, and the title couldn't be any more perfect. Forgive my boujee ass words, but this evokes an incredible pathos. Like a sad memory I've never even had.

The colors emphasize the meaning of the title so beautifully. Trully awe-inspiring!

I love this. I want this but with an apocalyptic street setting. Equally quiet and peaceful at first glance but slightly unsettling and hidden details. Like I'd pay.

Absolutely love your style. My new favorite behind "Groundling."

These are really beautiful!
The style reminds of a redditor who used to post watercolor paintings but suddenly stopped. I absolutely loved them and was sad to see him stop. I really appreciate this post and hope you post more.

It looks amazing, beautiful actually, but I can’t help but notice the car in the bottom left looks like a geometry dash icon

This is so sad and nostalgic but also somehow warm and comforting, as if being hugged by a fond memory from your childhood or teenage years.
Really takes me back to my hometown when i was in 10th grade coming home, a cold autumn evening when the sunset is in that perfect spot. :''')

I love this style. It's loose yet realistic at the points of interest. It's kinda like walking around and not really being able to see all the details especially in the darker shaded areas. The textures are really cool and they add a lot to the settings and mood to the painting. The ultramarine and the earth tones are a classic watercolour combo and it works every time. Personally I would have added a touch of some pink like a cobalt violet or a diluted quinacridone rose to some of the golden areas particularly the sky, just to make it more dramatic.

“Pathos” is not bougie. People just need to expand their vocabulary.

Wow, this is a beautiful painting. And the title just adds to it.

Yes I feel a nostalgic sadness looking at it.
For me because of the 1980s cars of my childhood, combined with a sunset of a good day ending.
I really like it.

Absolutely beautiful!
To me it feels like we're seeing a memory. Some of the art is so detailed and clear, like its things we've seen every day, yet the rest blurs out / is missing, like we're focusing on the main sections of the memory. It's beautiful and nostalgic, and I love it!

Yes, I agree with the quinacridone. I used it on the buildings in the back and on some areas on the tree. But it’s really subtle. I didn't wanted to be such saturated.. Although... It is:)
